A website that is our own
Hello. This is the inception of a website project within the website itself. This is also a website about commas. And a website that is a faithful representation of who we are. Fun, light, full of red commas and gimmicks, probably one on every page, but at the same time, the subject of deep thought and thorough strategy, design, and development work.

The chellange
As we expanded over the years, we struggled to maintain the momentum needed to fully develop a new website. Each attempt would stall midway through. Consequently, the site became outdated in every regard—projects, content, tone of voice, brand identity, personality, culture—essentially everything.

Each time we visited our old website, it just didn’t resonate with us. It could represent any agency, but not ours. It was too formal, too bland, and lacked inspiration—completely off-brand. That’s not who we are. It felt as if we were trapped in a time capsule, living in a cave somewhere in Scotland.

Finding the right balance between showcasing our humorous, creative spirit and highlighting the quality of our thoughtful work has always been (and continues to be) our greatest challenge. We aim to avoid coming across as either too silly or overly formal. The ideal lies somewhere in between, much like Malcolm. Finally, we emerged from the cave. Or maybe it's just our perception.

The new website
First, perhaps more importantly, we are all proud of this website. By "we", we mean the whole team. Everyone feels this website, in its entirety, to be Citata's. I won’t go on and on about the dozens of different forms and styles of quotes, fonts, colors, and so on. In the end, it usually turns out to be a bit simpler and more straightforward than originally intended. What matters is that it works, and we can cross out "almost everything we wanted". In short, red, commas, and a lot of cool cases behind and to the south
